If you are wondering where to eat and drink in Molyvos, Lesvos, you will find plenty of charming restaurants, bars and cafés tucked away among the narrow cobblestone streets. Nisi Restaurant – Dining on a Charming Square in Molyvos
Cosily located on a small square among Molyvos’ cobblestone streets, you will find Nisi Restaurant.
There are tables both indoors and outdoors. The indoor seating is particularly charming, with views overlooking the cosy square. In the middle of the square are trees surrounded by strings of lights, creating a lovely atmosphere in the evening.
We actually ate at this restaurant twice during our stay, which probably says quite a lot. The chef was very approachable and went around to several of the guests to ask how they were enjoying the food. To us, this showed that he was genuinely dedicated to his work. If you are looking for a restaurant in Molyvos with a cosy atmosphere, Nisi is definitely worth considering. The location, atmosphere and personal service made it one of the places we enjoyed returning to.
Gatos Restaurant – Greek Food with a Sea View
Gatos Restaurant is located on the front row along the water in Molyvos, but still relatively high up. This gives you fantastic sea views without other buildings getting in the way.
The restaurant is popular, so if you want a good spot along the railing or on the rooftop terrace, I recommend booking in advance.
They serve classic Greek dishes, making Gatos a good choice if you want to combine Greek food in Molyvos with a beautiful sea view.
Martin’s Restaurant – A Charming Family-Run Taverna
Tucked along one of Molyvos’ cobblestone streets, Martin’s Restaurant is a charming family-run restaurant with a cosy and authentic atmosphere. The tables are set along the street beside a low stone wall overlooking the sea, giving you a lovely view while you eat.
There are only a limited number of tables, with classic checked tablecloths adding to the traditional Greek feel. The setting is simple in a good way, and the combination of the cobblestone street, stonework and sea view makes it a lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal.
The menu offers typical Greek dishes such as moussaka, grilled skewers and fresh tomatoes. The food may look simple, but it has plenty of flavour. It is good, uncomplicated Greek food at reasonable prices.
If you are looking for a cosy and authentic place to enjoy Greek food in Molyvos, Martin’s Restaurant is a nice option.
Harbour Restaurants – Greek Taverns by the Sea
Around the harbour in Molyvos, you will find several cosy Greek tavernas, many serving seafood and traditional Greek dishes. The tables are set close to the water, with small fishing boats moored just outside the restaurants.
The harbour is a popular place to eat, so there are usually plenty of people around, especially in the evening. Even so, we never found it too busy or overwhelming. The atmosphere is lively without being hectic, with people enjoying long dinners while the fishing boats gently move in the water nearby. With several tavernas to choose from, the harbour is a lovely place to have dinner if you want to sit by the sea and experience a more traditional side of Molyvos.

Where to Have Drinks in Molyvos
Congas Beach Bar – Sunset Drinks by the Sea
At sunset, you can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink right next to the water at Congas Beach Bar. The sunset is absolutely beautiful from here, and there are relatively few guests around this time of day. This makes sunset a particularly nice time to visit if you want a more relaxed atmosphere.
The place really comes alive in the evening. As the night goes on, it transforms with dancing, DJs and music. Congas then becomes more like a small club.
So, if you are looking for sunset drinks in Molyvos or want somewhere to continue the evening after dinner, Congas Beach Bar is a good option.
Symposion Bar – A Relaxed Bar in Molyvos
Symposion is a unique little bar where most of the seating is actually in a stone staircase outside the bar itself. You sit on large cushions with a small table where you can keep your drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it is easy to have a conversation here.
It is also easy to start talking to other guests sitting in the staircase, if you are the more social type.
For a relaxed evening and a slightly different bar experience in Molyvos, Symposion is definitely worth a visit.
Drinks and Sea Views Near Molyvos Castle
At the top near Molyvos Castle, you will find several restaurants and places where you can sit down for a drink. From here, you get a fantastic view of the sea and the sunset.
This is a great option if you want to enjoy food and drinks with a view in Molyvos, while also being in a slightly quieter area. Sitting up here as the sun goes down is a lovely way to experience Molyvos.
Ice Cream and Sorbet in Molyvos
La Casa Del Gelato – Ice Cream and Sorbet
For us, La Casa Del Gelato became a bit of an evening tradition during our stay in Molyvos. Every evening after dinner, we stopped by this ice cream bar for sorbet and ice cream.
They serve the ice cream in glass bowls if you want to sit and enjoy it there. Alternatively, you can have it in a cone or a cup and take it with you.
There are also several options available for people who are lactose intolerant, which is a nice addition if you are travelling with someone who cannot have regular dairy ice cream.
